I have achieved "success". I am happily married, and have two lively, healthy, smart sons who are turning into amazing young men. I work 4 days a week at a job that is not too difficult, and only have to go in 1 weekend a month. Yet...I am still left wanting. Is this a problem that lies within me or within society? I feel bad saying it. Admitting it. I am not ungrateful. Really. I thank God daily for my blessings and am moved to tears often at how lucky I am. I am not unhappy, but sometimes I am unfulfilled. Sometimes I think that teaching was more fulfilling than nursing, and sometimes I yearn to go back. I am blessed enough that we actually could financially with little to no impact, so I don't feel forced in any way to be a nurse. Hola Mexico!

 I decided to start with a country that most of us have likely been to due to the proximity and affordable flights from the United States-which is MEXICO! Chichen Itza I have been to Mexico 3 times. I went the year my ex and I divorced for our 10-year wedding anniversary to a gorgeous adults-only resort in Cancun when I went for the first time. It was dreamy, the ocean warm, and the food and drinks plentiful. We ventured to the ruins of Chichen Itza one day and saw ancient Mayan temples. I highly recommend this. We visited in July, and MAN was it hot, but honestly, with pools and ocean, we were just fine. Barrett and I ventured to Mexico for our 2nd or 3rd anniversary and went to the island of Cozumel. We also stayed at an all-inclusive resort with many activities and restaurants. We snorkeled a ton and went on snorkeling excursions. We taxied to town to shop. When You Don't Know the Plan

A little less than two months to wait to find out if I am in the program I am applying to. Every day I doubt. Every day I question myself. Is this what I really want? Will I be good at it? Is this the plan for me? Is the cost worth it? Is the time studying worth it? Do I want to specialize so much? Can I really help people? As I sit here with one of my favorite dinners ever (pad Thai, coconut shrimp, spring rolls, and Thai iced tea), I ponder how much to share and vent. Super moment of honesty here (but don't hold it against me...?): I've been looking around at other jobs lately. I’ve been very bored by mine. I love the people I work with, but not necessarily the job I do. And yet… I am here for some reason. I applied to six other jobs and I prayed hard.
